Laura Lei was born in Oxford, California on Sept 20, 1965. A tomboy growing up, she was active in sports. When she was 18, she started stripping and did some nude modeling in magazines like Swank. In 1987, she did her first adult movie, doing a lesbian threesome scene. She would star in over 40 movies, mostly in the late 1980s. She first retired in 1989, but returned to film a handful of movies in 1991 before leaving the adult world for good. While never a featured star, she had a small devoted following likely due to her unusual hairstyle and enthusiastic performances. She sometimes performed under her real name of Dionne Castro.
